Elm Picture Frame.

This has been one of my favourite woods that I have had, unfortunately this is the last of it.

Salvaged from an ancient Barn in Oxford (which was owned by my favourite car enthusiast celebrity) where it had been used as flooring.

This Elm is Pit Sawn, the barn was ancient and dated back hundreds of years, the floorboards were over 16” wide and were original.

This Elm has been left as is, there are old nails holes visible, drinks and dents, old signs of woodworm (treated) and all the expected signs of wood this age, this picture frame is not for you if you’re after something on the lower scale of rustic. 

This picture frame can be hung either way up, it has been fitted with a stone coloured mountboard that’ll hold a print of 14 cm x 22 cm.
