Barn Oak Picture Frame. 

This heavy set Picture Frame has been made out of 500 year old French Barn Oak.

It has naturally sculpted outer edges and a lovely deep brown colour to the wood which I’ve given a coat of wax to.

This old Oak was Pit Sawn, it came out of an ancient barn that housed livestock,  each beam had a hole at the top which had rope going through it, this formed a barrier to keep the animals in.

This frame has been fitted with Acrylic due to its size and weight.
