Rustic A1 Picture Frame.

This beautiful old Oak was once part of a Boardwalk going down to the Sea on Hayling Island.

These boards were covered in a thick layer of anti slip grit which disguised what was underneath it, After painstakingly removing it and carefully cleaning the wood up you have this gorgeous rustic characterful Oak that has striking markings and a lovely aged patina.

There are areas that have been burnt probably by a camp fire that give an interesting contrast to the rest of the timber.

I’ve finished this frame with a clear wax, You can hang it either way up, please specify when purchasing.

This A1 Picture Frame has been fitted with Acrylic instead of glass due to its weight and for safety reasons.

If you’re unsure whether this or any other frame of mine will fit your artwork please get in touch.
